Benefit Auctioneer / Master of Ceremonies

Your Benefit Auctioneer / Master of Ceremonies is the linchpin of a successful fundraiser.  The MC directly affects the ambience in the room.  Mark is naturally quick-witted and at ease in front of a crowd, and will connect with your guests within seconds.  He will keep them actively engaged with a mix of humor, energy and heart, in direct response to your audience’s mood.

In addition to the auction, the MC will be in charge of introductions and microphone announcements.

What fundraising efforts have you undertaken in the past?  What worked? What didn’t? What are your goals today?  Do you have a specific need?  The best way to inspire your guests is to integrate your mission into every part of your gala program including the live auction and fundraising appeal. MRK Auctions will help ensure you reflect your organization’s mission so that your guests are excited to give.

Event Strategy

Here are a few of the many details to consider:

  • Select live auction items your guests will bid on (and how to acquire them without spending money)
  • Design a live auction (everything from seating placement to recommendations for an effective auction catalog) that builds momentum and raises more money
  • Create item experiences that directly reflect your organization, with recommendations for items, pricing display and promotion
  • Structure the evening program to set up your fundraising appeal for success.
  • Utilize storytelling as a way to connect your donors to your mission and make your guests excited to give
  • Determine how to use video and professional sound to ensure an attentive, engaged  audience.

On event night, Mark and his assistant will arrive early for a venue walk-through, rehearsal, volunteer training and final production checks.
